This powerful interface allows you to assign project managers, team members, and freelancers while managing their skillsets, rates, and work orders—all in one centralized location.

Talent Tab Overview
The Talent tab provides a comprehensive interface for managing all resources assigned to your project. It divides resources into three distinct categories to simplify management and optimize team composition.
Key functions of the Talent tab include:
- Adding and removing project team members
- Configuring skillsets and hourly rates
- Searching for and assigning freelancers with specific expertise
- Managing work order approvals for all resource types
- Monitoring resource allocation and availability
Note: Changes made in the Talent tab automatically update related financial projections in the project budget. Always consider budget implications when adjusting team composition or rates.
Project Managers Subtab
The Project Managers subtab allows you to designate leadership for your project and configure their working parameters.

Assign primary and secondary project managers for collaborative leadership or specialized oversight

Managing Project Managers
To add a project manager to your project:
- Navigate to the Project Managers subtab
- Click the "+ Add Project Manager" button
- Select from available personnel with project management privileges
- Configure their skillset, rate, and allocation
- Save the changes
Tip: While multiple project managers can be assigned to a project, designate one as the primary contact for clients to ensure clear communication channels.
Team Members Subtab
The Team Members subtab is where you manage internal staff resources allocated to your project. These are licensed ActionAtlas users who are part of your organization.

Managing Team Members
To add a team member to your project:
- Navigate to the Team Members subtab
- Click the "+ Add Team Member" button
- Search for available personnel by name or skillset
- Select the appropriate team member from the results
- Configure their project-specific skillset and rate
- Save the assignment
Important: When removing a team member from a project, ensure all their open tasks are reassigned to prevent work items from becoming orphaned.
Freelancers Subtab
The Freelancers subtab provides powerful search and management tools for finding and engaging external talent with specific skills and availability.

Searching for Freelancers
The freelancer search functionality allows you to find the perfect external resources for your project needs:
- Skills-Based Search – Find freelancers with specific expertise or certifications
- Rate Filtering – Narrow results to match your budget constraints
- Availability Check – See who's available during your project timeline
- Portfolio Review – Examine past work samples before making decisions
- Performance History – Review ratings from previous projects
Adding Freelancers to Projects
To add a freelancer to your project:
- Navigate to the Freelancers subtab
- Use the search tools to find suitable candidates
- Review their profiles, rates, and availability
- Click "Add to Project" for your selected freelancer
- Specify scope of work, rate, and timeline
- Confirm the assignment to generate a work order
Tip: For complex projects, use the "Similar Talent" feature to find backup freelancers with comparable skills in case your first choice becomes unavailable.
Work Order Management
The Talent tab serves as a central hub for managing work orders across all resource types. Project managers can review, approve, or deny work orders directly from this interface.
Work Order Status Overview
Each resource tab displays work order status indicators:
- Pending – Work orders awaiting approval
- Approved – Work orders that have been accepted
- Denied – Work orders that have been rejected
- Draft – Work orders in preparation
Approving Work Orders
To approve or deny work orders from the Talent tab:
- Navigate to the appropriate subtab (Project Managers, Team Members, or Freelancers)
- Look for the "Pending Approval" indicators next to resource names
- Click on the resource name to expand their work order details
- Review time entries, expenses, and deliverables
- Click "Approve" or "Deny" as appropriate
- Add optional notes to explain your decision (especially for denials)
Important: Work order approval triggers financial processing. Ensure all time entries and expenses are accurate before approving.
